And then on to a whirlwind speaking marathon in Bangkok.
Starting with a full day workshop for the internal team at TCEB, including colleagues from China, India and Japan.
The day was well received with lots of take-away learning for the team. This is what they had to say…
Measurable result / outcome from clear cut objectives Alternative platform to reach target clients Marketing = active listening Presentation of message at the booth and follow up system for business
Knowing more what our real objectives when we join tradeshow / More preparing before work on the stand / More professional / Less is More / 3 – 30 – 120 / No brochures / Journey / Active listening / Adjusting KPIs / Attractive to the target audience / Alternative / Right stuff for right job / Instant follow up
Outcome of the tradeshow must be measureable Start form “the end” Its quite a surprise to know that what we think is important to the tradeshow are actually not!

Then back to back Keynotes one for the Exhibitors and one for the Exhibition Organisers. The TCEB gathered a formidable crowd for each session at their Meeting Industry Day.
The exhibiting delegates, who included hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and even a theme park were presented with a completely new concept and process for taking forward to their next live marketing event.
And across the globe the all too familiar statistic emerged – that almost 60% of the exhibitors there – do not know what results they got from their last live marketing event:
Some highlights from the delegates and comments following the session were:
Wake up ! Amazing
The presenters confidence, personality and location
The activity ratio sample formular 3-20-120
Impressed but need more time
And to the second keynote of the day, John presented to over 100 Thai conference, congress and exhibition organisers, contractors and service providers.
The main message from the day was overwhelmingly – “educate exhibitors” – John’s mission to get this message heard around the world is most defiantly gaining momentum.
When asked what the key learning had been from this session, a majority of the audience said the same thing, you will see from a selection of the comments…
